Resources

There are many tools which are useful in search engine marketing.
In order to track your progress, a good web analytics program is a necessity.

Google Analytics is a free program which will give you valuable information about what is, and what isn't working on your website.  Sign up for a free Google analytics account, and install your unique Google code on each of your website pages. Within 24 hours, start tracking the visitors to your website. Just a few of the results you will monitor from your analytics program are:

  • Bounce rate (the percent of people who didn't find your site interesting enough to look beyond the page they entered your site)

  • Time on site

  • Popularity and effectiveness of keywords

  • Search patterns on your website pages

  • Website conversions
